You also will influence our architecture and foundation . . . you'll definitely call on all your skills and experience, and you'll add to them as well. If things are feeling a little stale in your current role, Clean Energy is a great place to refuel your career engine.
High visibility
In addition to reporting directly to a Vice President, you will interact with leaders in multiple areas of the company. As our subject matter expert in BI, you will make a name for yourself as you help internal customers gain the insights they need.
Great team
You'll join a close-knit "family" in IT, both in BI and other areas. We're a smaller team, so we all help out beyond our job description, giving us opportunities to learn about new technologies and processes.
Compelling value proposition
You probably already knew that natural gas burns much more cleanly than gasoline and diesel, producing significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions. Clean Energy helps companies and public organizations meet aggressive environmental goals. But natural gas fuel is cheaper (~$1.50 cheaper per gallon than diesel), domestically abundant, and it works. And using natural gas reduces America's dependence on foreign oil.
Proven strong leadership
You will join a team of accomplished, seasoned professionals at Clean Energy, led by Andrew Littlefair. Mr. Littlefair served as President of Pickens Fuel Corp (PFC), predecessor company of Clean Energy, which he co-founded in 1997 with Boone Pickens and was Staff Assistant to then President Ronald Reagan in the Office of Presidential Advance from 1983 to 1987. Our executive team's profiles can be viewed at CleanEnergyFuels.com.
Solid growth
Clean Energy has the right solutions at the right time, as more and more organizations are exploring alternative fuel vehicles and solutions. For instance, in October 2016 we opened a new state-of-the-art CNG station, in partnership with FedEx, in Oklahoma City. The station that will allow over 100 FedEx Freight Class 8 trucks (big-rigs) to use the convenience of fast-fueling as well as money-saving time-fueling.
Excellent compensation
In addition to a competitive salary and bonus incentive program, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes all you would expect plus some pleasant surprises, such as a discretionary match on our 401(k) plan -- in four of the last five years the company has matched 50% of the employee's annual contribution.
Above: For over 20 years, we have engineered, fabricated, built and maintained natural gas fueling stations across North America, providing consulting, design, construction, and commissioning services for fueling stations. Below: Clean Energy produces Redeem™, the first commercially available, renewable natural gas vehicle fuel. Derived entirely from organic waste streams, it's available in either CNG or LNG form for commercial vehicles including fleets, heavy-duty trucks, refuse trucks, transit, and airport service vehicles.
Keys to Success
If you're looking for a position in which you can focus on business request documents or be a BI "tool jockey," this is not the position for you. You'll do those things, of course, but this position involves much, much more -- at both the tactical and strategic level. You should be motivated to learn all you can about Clean Energy and its different departments, our dynamic industry and our vendors. With this 30,000-foot view you can see the biggest and most urgent BI needs, and also zero in on some insight opportunities that others may have missed. In addition, in order to be an outstanding Data BI Analyst, you will:
- Use your leadership and interpersonal skills to influence and motivate people over whom you have no direct authority.
- Complement your technical knowledge with strong business acumen.
- Bring strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities and priorities effectively.
- Be proactive about getting projects started and keeping them moving forward.
- Achieve goals independently but also know when to escalate issues.
- Stay abreast of technology trends and emerging best practices.
