Entry Level Service Technician I - Surrey

The Service Technician I will inspect, maintain and perform minor to moderate repairs on CNG fueling equipment including compressors, dispensers, priority panels, dryers, storage tanks, and other related equipment. They will identify corrective action and/or proactive maintenance service actions required and generate service orders for completion or assignment to Service Technicians. Additionally, the Service Technician I will ensure that assigned stations are aesthetically pleasing for our customers by cleaning and wiping down equipment, removing visible trash and ensuring trash containers are emptied.

Duties & Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain and adjust electrical equipment such as but not limited to electrical wiring, conduit, panels, switch gear, switches, gages, transducers, solenoids, gas dryers, actuators, motors, meters and controls for safe and proper operating condition.
Inspect, maintain and adjust mechanical equipment such as but not limited to, compressors pumps, engines, inter coolers, after coolers, heat exchangers, piping, tubing, fittings, filters, traps, gas dryers, fasteners, valves, and actuators for safe and proper operating condition.
Repair, replace and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating condition specified in regulations and repair manuals.
Make periodic inspections of CNG and/or LNG fueling locations and equipment to determine proper and normal operating conditions.
Detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components, devices and equipment related to CNG fueling equipment.
Clean and maintain fueling locations by: picking up trash, emptying trash cans and dumpsters, hand cleaning and polishing of fueling equipment, painting, canopy, lot, islands, surrounding landscaping, in and outside of enclosures.
Update and document all activity, service orders, work performed and recommendation in our Field Service Automation (FSA) software.
Install, remove and modify fueling locations and equipment.
Maintain all fueling related equipment and structures in accordance with manufactures and Clean Energy Compression guide lines.
Drive to and between company sites to perform job responsibilities.
Know and understand workplace health and safety rights and responsibilities.
Follow safe work procedures and act safely in the workplace at all times.
Maintain a safe working environment within the department and on each job.
Use the protective clothing, devices, and equipment required for the job.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.
First year gas fitter or 2 – 4 years of related experience and/or training or a combination of education and experience.
Must have basic Mechanical or Electrical foundation knowledge.
Must have basic computer knowledge, especially using service software.

Experience

2-4 years of related experience.

Physical

Regularly required to stand walk or sit; use hands to operate computers, office equipment; use vision and hearing dealing with communication and office materials.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Language

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.

Computer Skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to learn new software and programs as required.

Certificates/Licences

Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
