POSITION OVERVIEW: The Assembler is responsible for quality workmanship with assemblies work as assigned for sub-assemblies and main assemblies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure quality of work showing an eye for detail.
- Ensure that time is properly tracked and allocated to each job.
- Ensure materials are properly tracked and allocated to each job for costing purposes.
- Maintain a safe work environment within that department and on each job.
- Responsible to identify areas for improvement, and the use of Nonconformance Reports.
- To be punctual and available for a minimum of 40hrs of work per week.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Complete all applicable quality records.
- Perform work in accordance with CEC documented policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Grade 10 education or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Knowledgeable of gaseous fuelling equipment and their operations.
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
- Knowledge of equipment, tools, mechanical devices used for assemblies.
- Good mechanical skills
PHYSICAL
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
LANGUAGE
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
CERTIFICATES/LICENCES/PERMITS
- Overhead crane and rigging.
OTHER
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
