DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and revise schedules, labour loading and capacity/resource requirements using engineering and production specifications. Also responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of this process as well as the report tools used.
Coordinate the resolution of critical shortages as well as providing shortage data to all required departments.
Recommend corrective action plans, and reflects such in regularly updated schedules, to respond to schedule delays, labour/material shortages and backlogs. Where possible, facilitates problem resolution.
Maintain and schedule outside contract manufacturers where needed.
Coordinate inside/outside rework thru Work Orders and facilitates process improvements to maintain targets.
Weekly reporting on the status of on-going projects to the Production Control Manager.
Other duties as required.
Complete all applicable quality records.
Perform work in accordance with CEC documented policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
Diploma in production, inventory and resource management related program.
EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of experience in planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations.
PHYSICAL
Regularly required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to operate computers, office equipment; use vision and hearing when working with communication and office materials.
LANGUAGE
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Minimum of two (2) years of experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Proficient with MS Office Suite.
