Regional Sales Manager - Canada

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Regional Sales Manager is part of a highly productive Sales team that can meet and exceed revenue expectations, including the needs of our existing and potential customers. This role is accountable for driving CEC Corporate Sales and Marketing initiatives through the territories for which they are responsible. The Regional Sales Manager identifies, qualifies, and follows up with prospects and leads, focusing on Waste; Air; Transit; Municipal, State and Federal Governments; Retail and National Accounts; Utilities and Industries. The Regional Sales Manager develops marketing strategies to maximize sales in the CNG industry.
TERMS: As per Employment Contract.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Prospect for Sales and Service Partners with multiple partners per region focusing on vertical markets.
- Joint Prospecting with Partners to:
- Leverage the Agent’s presence at local trade shows and/or set up appointment blitzes around local trade shows with the Agent
- Establish regular joint sales call tours with the Agent’s sales team
- Troll customer and contact base to discover relationship opportunities
- Establish and push a marketing and sales plan for the Agent’s area, ensuring the Agent accountable for some activity.
- Conduct direct prospecting.
- Plan and conduct lunch and learns.
- Ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.
- Emphasize differentiating features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
- Develop a method of follow up with all customers.
- Overcome business and technical objections of prospective customers.
- Address customer concerns in a professional, productive, and timely manner.
- Handle inbound sales calls to convert calls into sales.
- Analyze the effectiveness of sales programs; recommend and implement changes based on findings.
- Develop and implement distribution strategies, reselling agreements and other growth opportunities.
- Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals.
- Complete all applicable quality records.
- Perform work in accordance with CEC documented policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related field
- Formal sales training and professional development through a recognized training program or organization
EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of direct work experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development and business planning.
- Familiar with CRM tools
PHYSICAL
- 30% - 50% Travel is required.
LANGUAGE
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
