POSITION OVERVIEW:
Manufacturing Engineering Team at Clean Energy Compression (CEC) has a position available for a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist. The successful candidate will apply his detailed technical skills to support development and implementation of manufacturing and assembly processes for production of NG compression equipment. The candidate will study product, document processes and seek standard approaches to perform operations. The duties include redlining and processing of documentation modifications, training of production personnel on standard steps and procedures, setting up of Mfg Cells and Workstations and modifying of BOM and ERP to correctly reflect status of builds.
- Analyze current processes and suggest improvements through defining of best practices and standard procedures.
- Create new, and update existing Work Instructions.
- Build, modify and set up furniture, carts, jigs and tools in Mfg Cells and Workstations.
- Document processes and support creation of Process Charts for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Identify opportunities for capacity improvement and cost reduction.
- Assist in studies of Mfg Cell statistics and capacities, including time study.
- Train production personnel on performing of standard steps and procedures.
- Perform work in accordance with CEC’s documented policies and procedures, including document control and managing of documentation changes.
- Interface with project stakeholders and executive sponsors. Demonstrate leadership skills in removing of obstacles and resolving of conflicts.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or similar field.
- 2 - 5 years experience working in a similar capacity in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and 5S principles
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of the ISO Quality Systems

- Overtime as required.
- May be exposed to hazards associated with manufacturing.
LANGUAGE
- Required to communicate with production staff and vendors. It is important to have adequate language skills to communicate verbally and in writing to ensure information is correctly documented and put into action
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Experience with MS Office Suite of products
- MRP Experience (Preference Microsoft AX)
