Your Background

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the LNG Logistics Coordinator opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Finance, Economics or related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of eduction and directly relevant experience.
  • 2 years of related transportation or logistics experience, ideally related to fuel.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to both generate and analyze reports. 
  • The ability to:
    • Use independent judgment in responding to customer issues.
    • Act as the liaison with accounting and other departments to gather data needed to respond to customers.
    • Determine when it is appropriate to dispatch service technicians to the fueling stations.
  • Computer proficiency, including familiarity with MS Office.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.) are preferred. Quick question for you - click here
  • Experience with TMW or other transportation software is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility, agility and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You also will need to be willing and able to respond to emails after hours, and occasionally work into the evening or on weekends.

Your Role

Reporting to the Vice President, Energy Management, you will join a team that includes another Logistics Coordinator and a Commodity Analyst. On a daily basis you will manage the dispatch of LNG deliveries to public or private LNG or liquid and compressed (LCNG) fueling stations across the U.S.

Every day will be different, and your activities will include:
  • Coordinating and scheduling of daily LNG loads, producing management reports, updating transportation management system, and supporting other departments including Accounting or Operations as required.
  • Scheduling daily/weekly loads of LNG to customers by coordinating with trucking company and external customers.
  • Ensuring timely deliveries by monitoring LNG station inventory levels, truck locations, and ETAs.
  • Forecasting fuel supply by analyzing consumption patterns to ensure timely delivery schedules. Quick question for you - click here
  • Performing ongoing monitoring and analysis to ensure lowest delivered cost economic routing to each station, based upon variables including commodity, liquefaction, distance, and trucking transport cost.
  • Keeping the transportation management system up to date on a daily basis.
  • Maintaining and approving deliveries for prompt billing; troubleshooting issues or any missing information.
  • Processing carrier invoices and reconciling freight billing.
  • Assuming responsibility for generating and analyzing the following reports to increase profitability and effective and timely deliveries; Payload optimization analysis, carrier utilization of natural gas tractors for making deliveries on behalf of Clean Energy, percentage of on-time deliveries by carriers and others. Additional analysis and reports may be generated as needed.
  • Continuously driving process improvements.
  • Handling other duties as assigned.
