The Requirements
We are looking for an assembler who is motivated to deliver quality work, driven to learn, and proactive about getting things done -- actively searching for the next task after assignments are completed. To be a strong fit for the Assembler I opportunity, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Good mechanical skills, aptitude and experience (i.e. working on engines, machinery, doing assembly, rebuilding motors, etc.).
- General ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Knowledge of equipment, tools, and mechanical devices used for assemblies. Quick question for you - click here
- Some industry knowledge is highly preferred (i.e. gaseous fueling equipment and their operations; CNG and/or LNG; gas company experience, etc.).
- Familiarity with computers including Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar; basic data entry skills to complete required documentation.
- Solid people and communication skills with the ability to comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and ask clarifying questions.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 75 pounds, typically with mechanical means or additional employee assistance.
- Ability to work a 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM first shift and occasional overtime, as required.
The Position
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will join three other assemblers working at our Evanston, Wyoming plant. You will spend the majority of your time disassembling, reassembling and reconditioning compressed natural gas (CNG) equipment/machinery including pressure reliefs, compressor blocks, complete sub-assemblies, and main assemblies. You will also pressure test piping systems, tubing systems and safety reliefs, as required, and help out in other areas, such as the warehouse. Additionally, you will:
- Deliver quality work, showing an eye for detail.
- Ensure that time and materials are properly tracked and allocated to each job for costing purposes.
- Maintain a safe work environment within the department and on each job.
- Identify areas for improvement.
- Complete Nonconformance Reports, as needed.
- Complete all applicable Quality records
- Be reliable, punctual and available for a minimum of 40 hours of work per week.
- Perform all work in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
